Grades 4 & 5: This Is The Place Park

We have made special arrangements to visit the park as a school.  Students will rotate as a class to various activities and stop to have lunch together. This is a hands-on experience, so please ensure students wear active clothing and dress appropriately for the weather. All activities are outside.

BUS SERVICE: The school will provide bus service to and from This is the Place Heritage Park. The pickup point is the Cabela’s parking lot in Lehi.

Bus Loading Times: 9:45 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. on the Northeast corner of the parking lot. The bus will leave promptly at 10:00 a.m.

Bus Return Times: The bus will return to the Cabela’s parking lot between 2:00-and 2:15 p.m. Please plan to pick up your student on time.

DROP OFF AT VENUE: Parents who live up north may drop students off at the venue instead of using the bus service. Please follow the same signs as the buses for the drop off of your student. You must check your student in with a Lumen staff member. Please do not leave them at the venue unattended. The Lumen school bus will arrive around 10:45 a.m. No late arrivals will be allowed to join the activity. We will begin the activity promptly at 11:00 a.m.

Your student should wear or bring the following with them to this outdoor activity:

• Comfortable shoes
• Sack lunch with a drink  (no cooler provided)
• Backpack (pack lightly, but be prepared for weather changes with a jacket). Students need the backpack to carry their stuff. There isn’t a place to store their lunch, water, etc.
• Water bottle

The school will provide sufficient staff to supervise the students throughout the event. Parents should not plan to accompany their child unless a pre-approved, written accommodation is on file with the school for this activity.

Parents should plan accordingly to pick up students on time.
