Concurrent Enrollment Registration

All students interested in Concurrent Enrollment must meet with the High School counselor prior to registering for CE courses. 

Registration process for UVU sponsored courses

Please read through the entire registration section to be sure you understand the process.

Step one for new students only:

  1. Apply for admission to UVU and wait to receive your UVID number which is required PRIOR to taking the exam. To be admitted, click here and pay the $35 admission fee.

  2. Once you have a UVID number, Contact Testing Services for current hours and test availability (801) 863-8269.

  3. The exam consists of three sections: Reading comprehension, Sentence Skills, and Math. Testers must take the entire Accuplacer exam. You are allowed to retake the exam three times per six week window, with at least one day between each attempt.

  4. You will need to pay a $10 fee to take the exam. Retakes cost $10 per section. A student without a UVID will be charged $50 to take the exam. Testing Services accepts cash only.

  5. Bring a government issued ID with you on the day of the exam.

  6. Testing Services is located at 1165 W. 800 S. Orem  (just north of the main campus) - parking requires a parking pass, you may inquire about getting a pass when you arrive that day.

  7. Ask the testing center for an official print out of your score. This will cost $5. Bring your Official accuplacer score card back to the Lumen Scholar Institute office. This card MUST be the official one they print out NOT the one they just hand you with hand written scores on it.

Step two register for classes


  1. Print the Sophomore by exception form. Sophomore by Exception Application

  2.  The information you will need to register for classes and to fill out the Sophomore by exception form will be found here:

  3.  Turn in completed sophomore by exception form to Lumen front desk.

     Juniors and Seniors:

  1. After you have a UV ID number and are admitted, everything you need for UVU   registration is on this site:

Registration for Dixie state courses

Dixie courses:

  • ENGL 1010    Dr. Tracy Willburn (Jr/Sr only)must test into ENGL1010 on Accuplacer test (1 credit library course that goes with this class)

  • ENGL 2010    Dr. Tracy Willburn (Sr only)

  • WEB 1400  Connie Craven

  1. Go to and follow all the steps to enroll. You must bring your printed copy to the Lumen front desk.
  2. You must turn copies of an  ACT or Accuplacer. If you do not have an ACT score you must take the accuplacer and get a score placing you into ENGL 1010. You need an official printout of the accuplacer obtained from the testing center. They are available upon request for $5. Please turn in an accuplacer or ACT test result copy to the front desk at Lumen to Emily or Allison. You can also email these to with a title of DIXIE REGISTRATION
